We were highly impressed with the organisation and high quality delivery of the drone workshops. Our Year 5 and 6 pupils have greatly benefitted from this experience. Code4Drones ran an excellent STEM day for students, ranging from Year 8 to 10. Oszman and Ryan's sessions were really well structured, engaging and the students all enjoyed their experience. The sessions were also adapted from those with less experience to those already taking GCSE Computer Science. Highly recommended and much appreciated.

The workshop was a big hit with our Year 4 and Year 6 classes. The children loved being able to actually control the drones using their own code—it made all the things we talk about in computing feel real and exciting. They got to practise skills like sequencing, testing, and debugging without it feeling like “work,” and there were lots of links to maths too, especially with direction, distance, shape and logical thinking.
It was great to see how well they worked together, they shared ideas, and helped each other fix problems. Even the quieter students got stuck in because the drones grabbed everyone’s attention from the start. A great session!

Our KS2 pupils had an amazing experience taking part in the Code4Drone workshop. As a small school with a limited budget, opportunities like this are incredibly valuable and this workshop exceeded all expectations. The chance for children to use real drones and apply coding skills in a genuine, hands-on context (not just through a simulation) was outstanding. The session boosted their confidence, sparked excitement about STEM, and showed them how coding can be used in real life. It was engaging, well-structured, and accessible for all abilities. We would highly recommend Code4Drone and would love to take part again in the future.

Our Year 5/6 class had an amazing experience flying drones in the school hall! The children found the workshop highly engaging. They showed a strong interest in careers related to drone flying. The session introduced them to a wide range of new vocabulary, and it also supported their learning in coding, which is part of the Year 6 curriculum.

Our Year 4 classes were buzzing with excitement to code drones! They loved working together and seeing what they could achieve. They found the whole session thrilling and loved solving problems and seeing what the drones could do.

The session began with an introduction to drone components and safety, followed by students using a block-based interface to program simple flight commands. They tested and refined their code in real time, observing how their instructions controlled the drone’s movements. As their skills grew, they attempted more complex tasks like flips. The activity was well run and promoted computational thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving in a highly engaging way. Overall, the session successfully combined creativity, technology, and fun to make programming concepts accessible and exciting.

We were thrilled to have Code4Drones visit our school to deliver their engaging and hands-on drone coding workshops for our Year 9 and 10 students. The Code4Drones workshop allowed our Year 5 and 6's to take their theoretical knowledge of coding and apply this to real-life scenarios through the use of drones. The children have been inspired to know that this could be a possible career for them one day. The instructors were fantastic, ensuring the children were safe at all times, while also making sure that everybody was having a great time. Our Year 4 and 5 children had a wonderful experience with Edward and Tom, listening to their clear instructions and then putting these into action by being able to control their own drones. It was a fantastic first hand experience which was great for children working together and it was very inclusive. Thank you so much Codes4drones, our children absolutely loved it!

They really enjoyed the experience. It was especially positive to see how much our girls engaged with the process and the work. The same for our more vulnerable children who will hopefully see that STEM is accessible to them.

We had three sessions and they were all really well received. The instructors ran the session very smoothly and offered appropriate challenge to the students in the groups. All the students really enjoyed themselves.

The session offered a highly engaging and hands-on opportunity to develop computational thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. We have recently been constructing a new computing scheme, and this complimented the children's learning brilliantly - it gave them an insight into future jobs in the STEM sector. It also encouraged collaboration, which is a target for our Year 5 cohort, so this was another opportunity to show their development.

We have had an amazing experience with our year 4, 5 and 6 classes today. All the children loved the sessions, the animation on their faces as they flew their drones was a joy to see! I would recommend these sessions to everyone. Very well run.

The Code4Drones experience was incredible. The children were engaged throughout the lesson and felt challenged. They experienced setbacks which the leaders of the sessions were able to teach through. Throughout the workshop, the leaders were on hand and guiding the children and helping them to identify where their coding may need debugging.

It was a fantastic opportunity and has certainly given us something to think about going forward in terms of physical coding.

Our Y7 and 8 students loved the practical programming, the language used was suitable to their level, the excitement when they saw their codes made the drone fly was priceless. What an amazing day!
The gents from Code4Drones were absolutely amazing. The children were enthralled by the drones and all came away with a better understanding of how they work in the real world. The technical vocabulary was well received and the hands on coding took everything to the next level. They will be talking about their day for ages!
